Mini Christmas Home Tour

This is our second Christmas in our Corsicana, Texas English style cottage.  This has been a whirlwind year of changes; Mr. GDC had both knees replaced, I began a full time job, Jr. is finishing his Associates Degree in General Studies and a cat we named Izzy adopted us.

The Cottage is becoming home to us as we implement our design ideas, slowly clear the flower beds and place our mark upon it.  Christmas is the time of year when you draw your friends and family closer.  Part of the season is decorating, trimming the tree, hanging garlands, lights, ribbons of red and green.  Traditionally, I put the tree up, hang the lights, fill it with greenery, then wrap the ribbon.  The fellas take over hanging the ornaments.  This year we chose to do something different than our usual silver and gray, we chose color; red, sage, aqua and coral.  It's been a fun, interesting, exhausting year for us.  Come see.... I hope you enjoy this little tour -

Until next time, wishing you and yours a happy holiday season -

  1. Merry Christmas! Everything is just lovely. I see you've added a cabinet over your sideboard. Perfect! Love your buffalo check curtain panels. I have the taupe, ivory and white in our master bedroom. After years of having floral curtains, these are certainly different but I like them a lot. Best wishes for a wonderful new year.

    1. Merry Christmas Claire! Thank you for the compliments. The drapes grew on me, there were days I wondered what I was thinking? Over time I've grown to like them. I'm officially a "Crazy Cat Lady"!
